Sonitrol of Silicon Valley Team Members Receive Top Honors

Last month Sonitrol teams from around the US and Canada convened in nearby San Francisco for the annual Sonitrol National Dealer’s Association convention and awards banquet.
This three-day convention brings Sonitrol offices together each year to share best practices, network, and recognize the outstanding achievement of top Sonitrol locations and leaders.

While the convention offers number educational sessions and introduces new products (check back in the coming months for these exciting products!), a number of activities are planned that show the lighter side of the security network.

At this year’s closing banquet, several Sonitrol of Silicon Valley team members were recognized for their outstanding achievement, dedication, and commitment to service.

Summer Outdoor Safety Tips

Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer, and to get the most out of the sun and fun this season brings, we’re sharing our top tips to keep you safe and secure.

Summer cookouts aren’t complete without cold drinks, fresh watermelon, and burgers and hot dogs on the grill.

Remember to keep your grill in an open, well-ventilated area and have a fire extinguisher ready in the event your fire gets out of control.
 
Many offices close down during the summer and schools sit empty during the break.

Update your office hours with the Sonitrol team and test your equipment to ensure continuous protection of your facility.

Lastly, always protect your valuables!  Put away and lock down any tools used for summer construction projects and hide valuables when you are going on vacation.
 

Properly using and arming your Sonitrol system is one of the best ways to protect your 
key assets!

Recognizing Exceptional Effort in Recent Apprehensions

We’ve had some notable apprehensions recently at Sonitrol of Silicon Valley and we wanted to take the time to recognize the effort and achievement of the individuals involved in these incidents.
 
Last month, Sonitrol of Silicon Valley staff members Joanie Andrews, Cristal Aguilar, and Robin Landayan (pictured L to R) attended a Celebration of Service event with the Mountain View Police Department. We proudly recognized officers and dispatchers that were involved in an apprehension earlier this year, which resulted from a Sonitrol alarm and dispatch. It was a great opportunity to meet and thank many of the local law enforcement officers that protect Silicon Valley everyday!

More recently, in the overnight hours Operator Cristal (pictured above) heard loud banging noises and voices at a local school. After hearing the audio-activated alarm, Cristal acted quickly and dispatched local law enforcement to the scene. Two individuals were apprehended at the scene, bringing the year-to-date total to 36 apprehensions!
