While California is making progress toward lifting the stay-at-home order, there are several safety and security measures you can take during Stage 2 of the phased reopening of the state. We’ve shared our top tips below and actions you can complete now to ensure you are getting the most from your Sonitrol system.
- Online Training: Contact our team to schedule a training session on the features of your Sonitrol security system, including audio intrusion and access control.
- Update Employee Lists: Have you made changes to your staff over the last few weeks? When it comes time to reopen, will you have different staff in place? Review and update your user and call lists with our Central Station team.
- Mobile Monitoring: Use mobile and web-based tools to keep an eye on your facility while it is closed or in limited use. View arm/disarm reports, events, and network/IP connected cameras when you log into your Sonitrol Mobile App or MySonitrol.net.
- Test Your System: Use this time to test your system and devices to ensure they are in proper working order. Diagnose and troubleshoot any problems and issues now so your system is at peak performance when your full staff resumes working in the building.
Sonitrol in the News: Fire Dispatch and Rescue in San Jose
In addition the audio intrusion, video surveillance, and access control security services available, another core service provided by Sonitrol of Silicon Valley is fire protection, detection, and monitoring.
In the early hours of a mid-April morning, San Jose Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a residential fire. Upon request from the department, our Central Station operators dispatched the Fire Associates of Santa Clara Valley to assist.
The quick response resulted in the safe rescue of two adults and family pets from the home. Read the story on SFBayCA.com.
Fire Associates is a non-profit volunteer group that provides assistance, relief, and canteen (food, blankets, etc.) to area fire departments. For more than 50 years, Fire Associates have been supporting agencies in the Santa Clara Valley at major emergency incidents, department drills, or community special events.
Safety Tip: While observing statewide stay-at-home orders, take the time to test your smoke detectors and/or change the batteries. Working detectors save lives!
