Ashley Preston
The Accounting Department has been busy with work demands, an overflowing inbox, and a to-do list that never stops growing. This quarter and specifically, the year-end, has just been a whole other monster onto itself. Ashley has managed to add extra duties to her repertoire, going above and beyond while always lending a helping hand. She’s been dynamic and flexible in support of our customers and co-workers. As a result, she’s been an artist every day in getting the job done. That is really something to appreciate and why she earned the honor of being the Employee of the Quarter.
Ashley how long have you worked at Sonitrol and have you always worked in accounting?
“Just over 14 years. For the first 6 years I worked as a Central Station Operator monitoring alarm signals. Eight years ago I moved into this accounting position, as Accounts Receivable Coordinator.”
I take it you enjoy working in the accounting department.
“It did not take me very long to realize that being in the accounting department is where I need to be. I hope I am still in this position for another 14 years. I like working with and helping our customers.”
Give me some examples of how you work with our customers.
“I help them figure out a payment schedule that fits their needs. I answer any questions they have about their account and work to help them if there are any questions.”
Ashley, you have worked at Sonitrol for 14 years and you want to work there another 14 years. What do you enjoy most about working here?
“I love the people I work with. I enjoy our atmosphere here. We all take great of pride in what we do, and we try hard to keep our customers happy. I am encouraged to “do the right thing” first and foremost for our customers. This my home. This is my career and I enjoy being a part of our team. As I said, I plan on being here another 14 years.”

Verified Audio Intrusion
Most of you currently are using the Sonitrol Verified Audio Intrusion Technology. This technology is exclusive to Sonitrol and gives the ability to listen, in real time, to a forced entry – often triggering even before burglars have made entry. This provides early detection from any point and gives information in real time to responding law enforcement.
Access Control
One of the fastest growing services we provide, Access Control gives you the ability to control when doors are locked or unlocked, who can enter when they’re locked – and even when. For example, if you have a door to your server room, we give you the ability to control which members of your staff can gain entry. You can even set it so some staff only have access during normal business hours, while others can gain entry 24/7. Best of all, this service is extremely user friendly. You don’t even need to be onsite to manage this – adding or removing employees’ access, or changing locking schedules, can all be done remotely. Say you have an executive visiting from a different office who will need access over the weekend. You can simply log into our web portal and add their information, all within moments, from anywhere you are in the world.
This technology has become very cost effective and extremely user friendly – and the applications are limitless.
Video Surveillance
No technology has improved more and has become more cost effective than the use of cameras. The days of an old analog box, recording nonstop – and having to manually scour through hours of footage hoping to catch a glimpse of what took place are long gone. Instead, the cameras can be synced to your alarm system and activate when you turn on the alarm – sending video activations directly to our alarm specialists. You can also remotely view your cameras 24/7/365, directly on your phone. In over 40 years of providing security solutions, we have not seen more improvements in a single technology than we have with verified video.
Fire Alarm Monitoring
If you have a fire alarm in place, our monitoring services can give you the peace of mind of knowing that our Alarm Specialists are monitoring 24/7/365 and will notify the fire department if an emergency signal is triggered.
