Smoke alarms save lives, and this weekend provides a great opportunity to improve fire safety at your home and office. We have a quick and easy phrase to help remember the important actions on your to-do list this weekend: Turn and Test!
We spring forward on Sunday, March 14, so before you head to bed, be sure to turn your clocks forward by one hour.
As equally important, take time this weekend to test your smoke detectors. Did you know that house fires are the most frequent disaster during the pandemic in the US?
The Red Cross estimates that working smoke alarms can reduce your risk of dying in a fire by 50%. Take the time to test all alarms, install new batteries, and replace non-working smoke alarms (or alarms older than 10 years). If you have carbon monoxide detectors, test and change their batteries, too.

Even with signs and stickers to warn them, intruders still choose to break into buildings secured by Sonitrol.
Our team of operators received alarms from Sonitrol’s unique verified audio system at 3:16 am
at a local golf course. Operators heard male voices, verified a crime in was in progress, and immediately
dispatched San Jose PD.
Within five minutes local police were on site and apprehended one individual! The door sensors were not activated until the police arrived on scene –
